The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra organized a specialized scientific visit for professors and researchers from the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Unit to the laboratories of the Marine Science Center.
The visit included a field tour of the Marine Chemistry Department, where the delegation visited specialized laboratories, particularly those for marine pollution, marine bacteria, and water analysis. They also learned about the latest equipment and technologies used in extraction and chemical analysis processes.
The visit witnessed a distinguished scientific exchange, characterized by insightful academic discussions that addressed ways to utilize marine technologies in developing research on medicinal and aromatic plants. This contributes to improving the quality of scientific output and enhancing applied research.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between different scientific disciplines, given its active role in raising the professional competence of academics and opening new horizons for research partnerships that support scientific progress and serve the community.
