The President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim Al-Asadi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Muhammad Al-Shawi, inspected the progress of work at the Agricultural Research Station affiliated with the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra. The purpose of the visit was to review the nature of the research activities and scientific experiments being conducted there, and to monitor the level of services provided to support scientific and research endeavors.

During his tour, the University President reviewed the most important agricultural projects and experiments being carried out at the station. He emphasized the importance of supporting scientific research and developing the infrastructure of research stations to serve the agricultural sector and enhance the practical training of undergraduate and graduate students.

He also commended the efforts of the teaching, technical, and administrative staff working at the station, appreciating their role in implementing research programs and scientific experiments that contribute to addressing agricultural problems and developing agricultural production.

The College Dean's office affirmed its commitment to developing the Agricultural Research Station and providing the necessary resources to support research and scientific activities, in line with the University's directives to support scientific research and serve the community.
