Professors from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basra were selected to serve on the ministerial expert committee tasked with updating the scientific curricula in Iraqi universities.

Based on the requirements of the public interest and in order to develop the academic and research landscape in Iraq, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued a ministerial order to form an "Advisory Experts Committee" specializing in the disciplines of agricultural colleges across all Iraqi universities.

This step comes within the framework of the Ministry's strategic vision aimed at keeping pace with global scientific developments in the agricultural sector and ensuring the quality of educational outcomes to meet the demands of the labor market and sustainable development.

Among the most prominent tasks of the newly formed committee are evaluating the current curricula and updating their content to align with the latest agricultural and research technologies globally, working to unify the scientific perspectives of the core curricula in all Iraqi agricultural colleges to ensure a consistent scientific rigor, and providing advisory support to academic departments in developing study and laboratory plans.

The committee includes high-level representation from professors at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, who were selected based on their extensive experience and distinguished research contributions to be part of this pioneering national effort.
