The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra received ministerial committees responsible for evaluating academic programs as part of the program accreditation process for the Bachelor's degree programs in the Department of Food Science and the Department of Plant Protection. This visit was based on Ministerial Order No. (1305-49483) dated May 4, 2026, concerning the formation of evaluation teams for agricultural college programs.

The committees were received by the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed Al-Shawi, and his academic and administrative deputies. The Dean emphasized the importance of program accreditation in developing the quality of higher education and enhancing the university's academic standing both locally and internationally.

This visit is part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's efforts to enhance the quality of academic programs and ensure their compliance with national program accreditation standards.
